Information for my clients

Appointments are available in person or online, Monday to Wednesday 9 am to 3 pm.

I see adults with a range of mild-moderate mental health problems including depression, anxiety, PTSD and phobias. I also work with people who want to build their self-esteem and confidence, or who are navigating life transitions. I usually work on a short-medium-term basis (from 4-16 sessions) but can offer longer-term therapy if needed.

I predominantly use Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), but also draw on other approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) to individually tailor therapy to suit your needs. These approaches often involve developing new ways of coping, then practising these in between our therapy sessions. We will work collaboratively towards your specific therapy goals and review our approach regularly.

Initially, we will meet for an assessment appointment (which will take about an hour) and will involve finding out about the problem you would like help with, as well as some background information about you. Thereafter, we will develop a shared understanding of how the problem has developed and what is keeping things stuck, before agreeing on a way forward. Subsequent appointments will be an hour.
